St.Francis Xavier

St.Francis Xavier was born on April 7, 1506 in the Xavier Castle.
On September 19, 1525 he entered the university of Paris.Graduated in 1536.
In the following year he became Father in Venice.
On September 27,1540 he founded the society of Jesus together with Ignatio Loyora.
On April 7, 1541 he left the port of Lisbon for Indian Goa, as the missionary sent by the
Pope.
He arrived at Goa on May 6, 1542. After preaching at India,Malacca and Morga Islands he reached to Kagoshima Japan on August 15, 1549.
After arriving in Japan he became the first Westerner who entered Miyako(former Kyoto).
He also met 4 lords including Takahisa Shimazu of Kagoshima, Takanobu Matsuura of Hirado, Yoshitaka Ouchi of Yamaguchi and Yoshisada Otomo of Bungo(former Oita).
St.Xavier left Japan in November 1551 for Goa and died in early morning of December 3, 1552 at Sanchuan Island in Guangdong in China.
